When you RV, it is always something. We are fixing minor things and keeping lists of what needs to be done by an RV specialist. But once in a while something major happens that must be addressed.
This one happened to our tow car (aka toad). Somewhere between Corning California and Pendleton Oregon, the sunroof shattered.

We don’t believe anything dropped on it since the rear corners were buckled. We also weren’t anywhere where anything other than a pine cone would have dropped on it. We’re thinking it may have been due to the extreme heat (103+) we were experiencing.
Well, no matter. It has to get fixed – we are just starting off a 3 month road trip. The question is how?
We are thinking of calling ahead to a Ford dealer near where we will stay in Montana, see if he will pre-order the parts and schedule us in while we are there.
We shall see.
