Well, really it was to Philadelphia PA. Navon is a campground about 45 miles outside of Philadelphia.
The trip from MIchigan to Narvon was pretty uneventful. We overnighted in a Walmart just inside the Pennsylvania border. The biggest thing was figuring out the toll roads: The Indiana Toll Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Indiana is a “ticket” system. You take a ticket when you enter the toll road and pay as you leave the toll road.
Pennsylvania no longer has toll takers and somehow they charge you for using the turnpike. We have a transponder on the tow car but nothing on the RV itself. The Turnpike sensors will read the license plate and eventually we will get a bill. Oh Boy.
We went into Philly for a couple of days with the dog. We toured Independence Hall (Dog was locked in the car in a basement parking garage) saw the Liberty Bell and spent a very interesting day in the National Constitution Center across the street from Independence park.
We also go to spend two lovely evenings with an old and dear friend, Joni.
We appear to have lost our aft air conditioner. We will be looking for someone to repair/replace the unit along our route. We also need to get the RV Chassis serviced. That is proving once again to be problematic.
From here we will head to Maine and to meet up with our Caravan.
